No doubt....this is undeniably a small part of history we have here....
According to factory records and as listed on the Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate, this Series 1 XKE is the 38th LHD coupe built .....
With the late start in the first year of production, just 398 rolled off the line at Coventry in 1961.
New delivered in California, this car stayed in the United States for at about 40 years.
A British gentleman acquired the car in 2000, he enjoyed the car several years and decided to breathe new life into his fantastic car, offering it a complete restoration in the spring 2014.
The car was completely disassembled and taken to bare metal, al of the original body panels retained and restored and professionally refinished in Opalescent Dark Green.
The interior is totally new. The complete original instruments were retained. All mechanical systems including the suspension, brakes and the matching number 3,8L straight-six engine were totally rebuilt.
The car and its restoration process are well documented & Included with purchase is also a Fifa passport.
The very earliest Series 1 cars in the lineage of the iconic XKE are highly desirable..... Being the 38th LHD Coupe built, this car is really a collector's item.
